Dr. Herine Otieno

Founder and Technical Lead

A Pan African Educationist and Researcher at heart, Herine's main interest is to contribute to the shaping & implementing research-informed education interventions that are responsive to Africa's context, needs and aspirations. She brings to EduHubAfric an extensive experience in STEM education programming and management . Originally trained as a statistician, Herine is skillful at drawing on both quantitative and qualitative data to inform formulation and implementation of policy. A gifted speaker and communicator, Herine has years of experience in teacher training, shaping and running of Edtech driven education interventions, hosting evidence -based dialogue and running STEM education outreach programs. Herine is a Commonwealth Scholar (PhD mathematics education) and has made presentations in a number of education conferences and high policy dialogue forums in the continent of Africa. Herine is the overall lead of all our assignment.

Kerry Rose

Dr. Kerry Rose

Dr. Kerry Rose is a continuing Lecturer, Outreach Projects Manager at the Centre for Mathematics, Science and Technology Education (CMASTE) and Adjunct Academic Colleague at the University of Alberta in Canada. Her research interests include self-directed teacher learning and professional development, and inquiry-based and student-centered learning, especially in STEM areas. Dr. Kerry Rose, has extensive experience in leading professional development and learning assignments for various international (including Africa), national and local stakeholder groups.

Aline Dorimana

Ms. Aline Dorimana

Aline Dorimana is a researcher, a PhD candidate for Mathematics Education at the University of Rwanda College of Education. Her research focuses on problem-solving and problem-based learning. She has authored and co-authored more than seven articles.

Wesaya Jonathan Maina

Mr. Wesaya Jonathan Maina

Jonathan is an education policy expert and an education opinion shaper in Kenya, where he writes for the largest circulating newspaper Daily Nation on education matters. With over 20 years of experience in education programming and advocacy, Jonathan has consulted and worked for numerous NGOs in Kenya. A self-proclaimed champion for targeted development, Jonathan has a keen interest and presence in effective and efficient education planning interventions in Kenya. This he believes is critical to developing countries such as Kenya, achieving their national aspirations for inclusive, equitable and quality education for all. Jonathan plays a lead role in our policy and related education advocacy assignments.

Rurangirwa Francois Xavier

Mr.. Rurangirwa Francois Xavier

School Leadership and Pre -Service Teacher Training Fellow-Rwanda

A former chemistry teacher with years of experience in classroom teaching and school leadership, Xavier is an emerging expert in pre-service teacher training. He is currently working as a trainer of pre-service teachers with Rwanda Education Board at the JICA PRISM project. He has experience in digital learning and teaching, gender responsive teaching/learning and career guidance/counseling. Xavier holds a Bachelor of Science Degree with Education and a Post Graduate Diploma on Effective School leadership and management. Xavier plays a key role in all our school leadership and pre-service teacher training assignments.

David Niyegeteka

Mr.. David Niyegeteka

Mathematics Education and Postgraduate Student Fellow-Rwanda

David is currently pursuing his Masters in Mathematics Education from Mount Kenya University-Rwanda. He also teaches mathematics and physics in two of Rwanda’s International Schools. A leader and mobilizer at heart, David has in the last 4 years been part of a mathematics and science teacher community in Rwanda within which he has and continues to play a key leadership role. David, is one of EduHubAfric Online STEAM Academy tutors and as a postgraduate student fellow, he acts as our key link to STEM teachers who are pursuing postgraduate studies..

Mathematics Education and Curriculum Development Fellow-Ghana

A Mathematics and Science teacher at a Junior High School in Ghana, Rebecca is holder of a Masters Degree in Mathematics Education with special interest in curriculum development and implementation. Drawing on her insights as a teacher and researcher, as one of our Teacher Fellows, she plays a key role in the shaping and implementation of our mathematics education and curriculum development related consultancy assignments and interventions.

Physics Education & Online Learning Fellow-Kenya

A chemistry teacher at one Kenya top private secondary schools, Sabiano has years of experience in classroom teaching, school leadership and outreach activities aimed at improving students' interest in, engagement in and learning outcomes for, STEM subjects. An avid researcher with great interest in online learning, Sabiano plays a strategic role in our science education, school leadership, and online learning interventions. He is also the coordinator of our online STEAM Academy.
